Dear
Paul,
I write to
thank you for my recent Scenar treatment that has been extraordinarily successful and beyond my expectations. I
hope this letter might help to inspire others who face similar conditions.
To recap,
I came to you following about six years of investigation by specialists for a slowly deteriorating nerve condition
in the right arm and shoulder including chronic radiculopathy in the right hand. This included three MRI scans and
nerve conduction tests at Hurstwood Park and Kings College, London culminating, a few months ago, in the diagnosis
of nerve compression due to an injury sustained to the C5/6/7 vertebrae whilst motorbike racing thirty years ago,
probably worsening as a result of wear and tear on the joint discs.
I now
faced the prospect of surgery. The recommendation was to go in through the front of my neck (past the larynx, with
possible damage to such) to install metal inserts to permanently separate and stabilise my neck
vertebrae.
The pain
levels in the shoulder, arm and hand had risen spasmodically over the years but after a contract to rebuild an old
brick retaining wall last October, the pain reached levels that stopped my physical workload and severely
restricted even computerised design work for my wildlife habitat landscaping company. Co-Codamol was re-prescribed
at my request (2 x 4 times daily! – this was too much for me to stay awake so I reduced it to 1 x 6 times a
day).
Before
deciding whether to go ahead with surgery, and concerned about whether I could continue with actively playing
football, and at the age of 53 years, I thought that I would try at least one
alternative therapy. I had heard of some startling reports of Scenar success and therefore searched the internet
for a local therapist and found you there.
Being a
rather practical person, trained in civil and mechanical engineering, I was more than a little sceptical of the
Scenar’s ability to even affect the symptoms from such a skeletal defect – but I was wrong! After a slow start with
only slight reduction to the pain levels after the first and second treatments, I thought that any effect was a
good sign and decided to continue with another couple of sessions. This was without any pressure at all from your
good self, leaving me to call you after I had time to consider the benefits after each treatment, a refreshing
attitude indeed from the world of alternative therapists.
After just
four Scenar treatments, I was able to stop the painkillers completely and each successive session has shown
progressive improvement with only the slightest discomfort in the arm/head movement remaining and this is probably
only due to my own decision to combine the treatment with light traction of the neck to try to restore the soft
tissue between the problematic vertebrae. After three months and 10 treatments to date, I can also report some
other benefits I have noticed as follows: ability to sleep on my side again, ability to write and sign my signature fluently again, ability
to turn my head fully to right and left, ability to undertake a reasonable ‘throw-in’ during football
!!
I realise
I may need top-up treatments from time to time, and I'll follow your advice and check in with my GP. But having not
had a treatment for nearly four weeks now, I think these benefits can be assumed to be permanent and my ‘normal’
active life is resumed at last!
Altogether, a phenomenal success – Thank you!

Progress Update (six months after the end of the main course of treatment, only three treatments since
then):
"Six months later, I'm doing heavy
physical work again as part of my job, and despite needing occasional top-ups, I'm basically pain-free except for
the occasional twinge when work requires extreme neck and shoulder movements. When undertaking this kind of work,
any pains seem to be self healing in a few days rather than taking several weeks or months as it used
to."
